Governor Bob Riley was in Dothan Tuesday, encouraging shoppers to support this upcoming sales-tax holiday.
The governor stopped by Wal-Mart on 231 North to tell people that it's important to shop for school supplies during this weekend in order to save money.
Riley says he expects the sales tax holiday to be the second largest shopping period for the state, only following the day after thanksgiving.
The holiday begins this Friday August 4th and will run to Sunday August 6th.
