The town of Samson held its annual Veteran's Day celebration a day early.
Fort Rucker's 98th Army Band performed a medley of patriotic songs to mark the occasion.
Each year, Samson rolls out the red carpet for those residents who have served during both war and peace time.
New Brockton resident, Reverand Albert Skinner, was the keynote speaker. Skinner served a tour of duty in Vietnam, during his 20-years in the U.S. Army.
"People are diverse, but we still work as a team. In the army we were army green. Folks learn to love the differences our country presents, the culture of the country, and the love for this country," said Skinner.
Monday's ceremony at Samson High School also included veterans who reside in Coffee Springs.
