DeFuniak Springs, FL – Bobby Kemp, a Walton County EMT that has been serving Walton County citizens for nearly four decades, has retired from the county government. Officials believe that Mr. Kemp is the oldest licensed E.M.T. in the state of Florida.
Mr. Kemp began his career as a volunteer firefighter and has provided EMS services to the area over 40 years in a volunteer capacity and as an employee of the Walton County government. “I worked with Mr. Kemp when he and his family ran the Paxton ambulance as a volunteer organization,” says Walton County Administrator Ronnie Bell. “I have always admired his dedication to Walton County and have felt privileged to work with Mr. Kemp for all these years.”
Walton County commissioners and county staff congratulate Mr. Kemp on his retirement and join the thousands of citizens he has served in thanking him for his outstanding service in saving so many lives throughout the past four decades.
