Henry County school administrators are breathing a sigh of relief after voters approved property tax renewals.

Passage of the 12 mils will provide the school system with 1.7 million dollars annually.

Administrators say without it, they would have a tough time covering the $300,000 increase in electric bills and would have had to let go of 10 support personnel or 5 teachers.

Students will still have access to programs such as ROTC and foreign languages.

The average household pays ten dollars a month in taxes that go toward education.
