Officials Says Early Voting is a Success in Florida

Election officials across Florida are calling "early voting" a great success. In fact, nearly half of the electorate would cast a ballot before Election Day.

Carol Griffin is the Washington County Supervisor of Elections. Overall, she says more than 15,000 folks would vote. That's more than 70 percent of those eligible to cast a ballot.

Nearly 40 percent voted during the two-week "early voting" period. That's higher than it’s ever been in this Panhandle county.

In nearby Holmes County, some 76 percent of the registered voters would cast a ballot.
