Police say more charges could be filed against a Dothan man accused of starting a fire that totally destroyed a vacant house.
So far, 46-year-old David Wayne Chancey has only been charged with a single count of second-degree arson.
He's being held without bond in the Dothan City Jail.
Chancey is accused of setting fire to a house in the 200 block of West Crawford Street.
Investigators say firefighters had twice been called to put out other suspicious fires at the same location.
Chancey lived in a rental home directly behind the house that burned.
After searching Chancey's home, investigators say they found smoke bombs, textbooks on incendiary devices and photos of fires.
They say Chancey is a suspect in other suspicious fires in the Dothan area.
