A Wiregrass area volunteer fire official is facing drug and explosives charges.
Grant Ball's arrest came after Headland police say they found marijuana and a pistol in his car during a routine traffic stop.
He gave authorities permission to search his home and they say found a pipe bomb and materials used to make a bomb.
Ball is the assistant chief of the Newville Volunteer Fire Department.
Officials say he's been charged with two counts of possession of marijuana and faces at least two federal charges.
Ball was released from the Henry County jail on bond.
