Pike County currently operates with care ambulance service. But in December, their contract will be up.
Officials are now looking at a new proposal to decide who will take on the new contract. But they say residents have no need to worry.
"We don't have any reason to believe that there won't be any shortage of service in the county, in fact the current provider has expressed interest in continuing service," says Donna Schubert, chairperson for Pike county animal shelter.
Every three years Pike County renews or selects a new ambulance service.
