Coffee Co. House Contraction

A future housing subdivision planned for central Coffee County has caught the attention of the national media.

A network talk show hosted recently commented on the Mayberry development planned for New Brockton.

The development is named after the famous 1960's CBS sitcom which starred Andy Griffith and the late Don Knotts.

Mayberry will be located on the outskirts of New Brockton on the Highway 84 bypass.

One town councilman says he receives constant inquiries about the development.

New Brockton Councilman Jeff White said, "Residents are looking for a simpler type of living and they'll be an asset to the community and for the people they'll find an asset in New Brockton."

Mayberry is the brainchild of enterprise land developer Ronnie Gilley, work on the project is expected to get underway soon.
