Police have a motive in the murder of Jim Layton Junior.
When police arrived on the scene yesterday evening they found Joseph Michael Holly had fatally shot Layton as he entered the front door of his residence on Saunders Street.
The two men were co-workers, and during the investigation police believe they found a motive for the killing.
“We think the motive concerns the fact that Holly accused of molesting a child and he was taking out revenge on that accusation,” said Chief John Powell of Dothan Police.
Joseph Holly is currently charged with capital murder and is being held at the Houston County jail on no bond.
