A Troy man has been arrested and charged in last week's assault, burglary and robbery of an elderly Troy couple.
19-year-old Carl Jiles is charged in connection with the May 7th assault, burglary and robbery of Frank and Dorothy Gorman. He's being held in the Troy City Jail.
His total bond has been set at one million fifty thousand dollars.
The Gormans were assaulted in their home Wednesday morning.
They were taken to Edge Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gorman was treated and released. Mr Gorman was taken to Flowers Hospital in Dothan in critical condition. He underwent surgery and his condition has improved from critical to stable.
