Officials in Lowndes County say a six-year-old Virginia boy drowned in a creek.
Authorities say the child was standing near the creek Monday afternoon when we fell into the water.
In northeast Alabama, two teenagers from Michigan were seriously injured after jumping off an 80-foot cliff in Dekalb County.
It happened yesterday at Desoto Falls Park in Mentone.
The 16 and 17 year old boys were transported to a Chattanooga hospital. Their conditions are unknown.
There was also a drowning at Lake Martin.
A boating accident on Lake Jordan that killed two people and two fishermen also drowned in Macon County.
