Dale County’s recently purchased election machines have no place to call home.
Election officials say they need somewhere to store all voting equipment, including some recently purchased machines.
They are now storing the 47 machines across the county, in some places without proper air conditioning.
“We have recently purchased new voting equipment that's some 132 thousand dollars, and I feel we need additional adequate storage for these machines. Those that we've purchased and these that's owned by election systems,” said Probate Judge Eunice Hagler.
Election leaders hope to discuss a possible location for the machines during the next county commission meeting.
