Youth Enrichment Services Graduation Ceremony

Nearly 50-people from Coffee, Dale and Geneva Counties have achieved an important first goal in their education.

Youth Enrichment Services or the YES program sponsored a G.E.D graduation ceremony at Enterprise-Ozark Community College in Enterprise.

Young people initially dropped out of high school, but with the help of YES tutors, they now have their G.E.D’s.

Amber Lynn Bryan of Elba initially dropped out of school, now she plans to continue her education by going to a culinary school to become a chef.

“I thought about it I dropped out of high school after becoming pregnant with my son. I thought I should go ahead and get my G.E.D to make a better life for my son," said Bryan.

Each of the four counties under YES program has several tutors who help students prepare for the G.E.D exam.
