Chipola Pitcher Killed

Nineteen-year-old Brian Clausen was driving back to Marianna Saturday morning when his car ran off the road and crashed into some trees.

He was returning to play in an afternoon game at Chipola after a visit to his family doctor in Columbus, Georgia.

Chipola's weekend baseball games were cancelled in respect for Clausen's family.

Clausen was a top pitcher for the Indians and helped lead them to the 2003 Panhandle Conference Championship.
