Coffee County Officials are Looking for Alternative Polling Site

The November general election is three weeks away and it is imperative Coffee County comes up with an alternative polling site following last week's tornado.

The Enterprise Civic Center, that suffered massive damage from the storm, also served as a voting precinct.

Coffee County legal counsel says they have been in contact with the justice department about another location near the civic center.

Federal personnel are trying to ensure that all eligible voters receive their right to cast a ballot.

County Commissioner Doug Dalyrmple says he plans to discuss with school officials about the possibility of using the gym at Enterprise Junior High as a temporary voting location.
