Geneva Fire Investigation

Geneva officials say two residential fires are unrelated.

At 11:30 Monday morning, emergency responders arrived at a house fire on North Live Oak Street.

The home was reportedly unoccupied and up for sale.

Fire officials say the blaze appeared to start in the attic by an electrical short.

On Sunday afternoon, a home was destroyed on West Maple Avenue in Geneva.

No one was injured.

It is believed that blaze began in the kitchen.

Geneva Fire Chief Ben Latimer says investigations continue on both fires.
