Final Day for Voter Registration

Voter registration closes for the November presidential election in Florida at midnight.

Supervisor of elections offices across the Panhandle are reporting hundreds of new names being added to the rolls.

20-year-old Tymetri Brannon of Chipley registered to vote for the very first time. She says the economic crisis on Wall Street was the motivating factor for her to register.

It has been a busy period at the Washington County supervisor of election's office in Chipley.

Since Thursday, more than hundred individuals have been added to the 15,700 that are already on the rolls,

Monday is also the final day to register to vote in this year’s presidential election in Georgia.

Alabama residents have until October 24th to register, just 10 days before the election.
