A South Georgia community is mourning the loss of three football players killed in a car accident yesterday.
Jicarre Watkins, Shawn Waters and Johnie Parker were killed when their SUV slammed into a tree.
A fourth passenger, De’Vron Whitfield survived. He remains in critical condition.
The players were returning from an early morning football practice. They were members of the Brooks High School football team.
State Police say they were not wearing their seat belts and speed may have been a factor in the crash.
Last night, family and friends had a vigil for the teens.
