Contractor's Lawsuit

A lawsuit has been filed against the Reverend Paul Hollman and Greater Beulah Baptist Church for breach of contract.

The Plaintiff in the suit is the architectural firm of Joseph Donofro and Associates.

They claim the church and Reverend Hollman violated a contract they made in October of 2001.

In the lawsuit, Donofro claims the church hasn't paid him in full for preparing the preliminary designs on the 700-seat sanctuary or for consulting with contractors.

The suit also claims alterations were made to the original design and according to the contract, that increased the price of the building project.

Donofro is asking for more than $80,000, which includes interest and costs, punitive damages and attorney's fees.

News 4 spoke with Reverend Hollman who said it was the first he had heard of the lawsuit and he declined to comment without speaking to his attorney.
