A condemned killer was back in a Dothan courtroom Thursday.
Michael Jerome Lewis was convicted and sentenced to die for the April 1997 beating and shooting death of 38 year old Timothy Kaye of Ashford.
Kaye's body was found floating in a Florida river several days after he disappeared.
Defense attorneys convinced an appeals court to order a review of how the original trial jury was selected.
If circuit Judge Jerry white finds fault with that process, he could order a new trial.
A ruling will be issued at a later date.
