Christian Magazine Featuring Female Pastors Yanked from Shelves

The five women on the cover are dressed in black and smiling - not an uncommon strategy for selling magazines.

But these cover girls are women of the cloth, featured in Gospel
Today magazine's latest issue, which the Southern Baptist
Convention has pulled from its bookstores.

The group says women pastors go against their beliefs, according
to their interpretation of the New Testament.

The magazine was taken off stands in more than 100 Lifeway Christian Bookstores across the country, including those in the metro Atlanta area.

Nationally, the Southern Baptists have adopted statements discouraging women from being pastors, but the churches are
independent and a few have selected women to lead their
congregations.

I excumunicated myself from the southern baptist chuch because they are so intolerant to woman. Mabie the southern babtist churches should get back in there bibles and look at how Jesus lifted up every woman he touched with mercy, grace and gave them a royal place at his feet. Wene a woman goes before God she is not going to be standing behind a man. She stands alone just like you men. Go Girls
