Friday, during the rush on gas in the Wiregrass things were a bit hectic in and around gas stations.
Today, it's been a different story.
Gas prices have stabilized at around 4$ in our area and President Bush indicated earlier that many in the southeast should brace for higher gas prices as the gulf oil industry recovers from the storm.
"expect some upward pressure on price because the storm disrupted the supply of gasoline and it shut down refineries and pipelines"
Local gas representatives told News 4 on Monday that they expect any major supply issues to be resolved by mid week next week. It's unknown though whether people should be optimistic of prices falling back to the point they were last week
The price of oil per barrel fell under 100$ for the first time in several months this week.
