A Holmes County Sheriff's deputy is lucky to be alive after being shot in the head by a suspect.
Sergeant Michael Raley was involved in a traffic stop Friday night when the subject, Matthew Olin Bryan, took off.
During the pursuit, Bryan fired a 12-gauge shotgun at the deputy's vehicle.

Bryan was found later that night in a nearby residence and arrested.
He is currently being held in the Walton County Jail.
