Some evacuees have a new place to stay. They are being welcomed at the First Church of the Nazarene on Honeysuckle Road in Dothan.
The shelter at Wallace Community College has been closed and 65 people are using the church for refuge.
"Funds are low for a lot of them. So we are expecting donations here of either gas cards or maybe gift cards to K-Mart or Wal-Mart. or places like. So when they get home, they have been without electricity and stuff for days so all their food is bad, it will give them a leg up to get started," said Rebecca Poole, shelter manager at First Church of the Nazarene.
If you would like to donate the church is at 1081 Honeysuckle Road or you can call them at 794-6974.
