Some Evacuees Ready to Go Home

Many evacuees have made their way to the Wiregrass area to take refuge from the storm.

The state of Louisiana is not allowing residents back into the state until Friday. Until then, some evacuees are struggling to find food and shelter.

Scott Kunsky, an evacuee from St. Charles Parrish said, "It's rough on us because we've been living paycheck to paycheck and it's took every bit of the money we've been living on to move out of the area and now we don’t know if we have a job or house or home to go back to. It's just rough to do this."

If you are an evacuee and in need of food you can contact the Wiregrass Area Food Bank at 794-9775.
