Wiregrass Electric Sends Out Team to Help Hurricane Gustav Victims

Recovering from a hurricane takes a group effort and a number of Wiregrass agencies are pitching in to help.

The Wiregrass Electric Cooperative has sent two five-man crews and equipment to Kiln, Mississippi to help restore power after Hurricane Gustav.

Coast electric power association reported that during the height of the storm Mondat, 40-thousand of their 74-thousand customers were without power due to high winds and rain.

Officials with Wiregrass Electric said that they know they would return the favor if disaster struck our area.
