Trouble for Horizon Travel Plaza

The massive profits of the big oil companies aren't tricking down to one retailer.

According to the Nashville Post, the convenience-store chain “Horizon Travel Plazas” filed for protection under Chapter 11 in June.

The article reports the company has shut down 11 of its 25 newly built stores across the southeast.

The blame for the closures is on credit-card transaction fees, wholesale gas prices and failing retail sales.
