"It was a pleasure to be the City Manager and watch all that take place," Dothan City Manager Mike West says.

He is referring to emergency officials and utility workers for their response to heavy storms in our area this past weekend.

But while rains have faded away, the effects of the storm are still evident.

West says he received reports of water leaks on the third floor of the Dothan Civic Center which caused some hallway flooding on Saturday. Leaks were also reported in different parts of Dothan's City Jail, and the Wiregrass Museum of Art downtown.

On Tuesday water stains were evident in all three locations.

"It shows you need to find out what contributed to that and solve that problem because we don;t want buildings leaking." West says.

The City Manager says the city tries to schedule roof repairs when problems come up. Two fire stations in the city have had problems for months, and will be fixed next year according to West.
