No Major Power Outages for Wiregrass Residents

Emergency Management Agency offices across the Wiregrass are reporting that the weather Monday morning has not caused any major power outage.

Officials believe that many of the limbs that would have fallen Monday morning to cause trouble with the power lines have already fallen over the weekend.

However, with any storm there were a few isolated problems but nothing major as of last report.

If you are having an issue with power outages here are the numbers you need to report local power outages in your area.

Alabama Power has set up a special helpline specifically to deal with power outages, number is 1-800-888-2726.

You can reach Wiregrass Electric at 1-888-469-6882.

You can reach Dothan Utilities at 615-3302 and Pea River Electric is at 1-800-264-7732.

We didn't lose power this time but I know I get tired of cranking up my portable generator every time the lights flicker. Check out these Guardian standby generators. They run off natural gas or propane. Best of all, they automatically start when the power goes out – if you’re home or not. Very cool product. This site does a better job of explaining how the process works. http://www.electricgeneratorsdirect.com/brand/guardian.php
