Store Owner Opens Fire On Robbery Suspect

The owner and operator of a small convenience store in Dothan says he fended off an armed attacker Wednesday morning.

Ray Enfinger, the owner of the Stough Street Grocery, says he saw a masked man come to the window of his store brandishing a weapon.

Enfinger then turned and fired his own handgun, causing the man to flee.

Dothan police later arrested a suspect, 20-year-old Jeremy Leach at a home nearby.

Apparently, the gunshot fired by Enfinger did not strike the suspect.

Leach has been charged with robbery first degree and bond has not been set.

Dothan was once known as The Peanut Capital of The World. It should be known as THE ROBBERY CITY of THE WORLD. Not a night goes by without some type of ROBBERY. There Police Officers are underpaid, and they don't have enough Officers to fully protect the city.

About time someone started taking the law into their own hands. Sure can't depend on our law enforcement to catch people without the help of our citizens!
