Chipola College recognized two of its students who have earned state and national honors Wednesday.
Kimberly Garske of Holmes County was featured in "USA Today" this week. She is one of 20 members of the all USA Community College academic team. The 19-year-old has been named Florida’s new century scholar.
A designation assigned to the state's top community college student.
Kimberly will enroll at the University of Florida this fall and plans to get a PhD in pharmacy.
Cassie Prichard of Chipley was also honored as a member of the All Florida Academic Second Team.
The Chipley native was awarded a $20,000 scholarship to attend Mississippi University for Women.
This marks the third straight year a student at Chipola has been named to the USA Today All Academic Team.
