Dothan police cars and other city equipment may soon be replaced.
A $ 4.3 million "community investment program" was approved Tuesday at the city commission meeting.
City Manager Mike West says quite a few of the projects have already begun, and Tuesday’s vote put the funding behind them.
Other projects include renovating and repairing buildings and getting up-to-date on several maintenance projects around the city.
Dothan City Manager Mike West said, "Obviously we'll never have enough money to do all the things we need to do, but this is a nice step on the part of the city commission to do some reinvestment back in our community for the things we need to continue to provide excellent services."
The plan was first recommended to the commission at the March 21 administrative meeting.
