One man was killed and another injured Wednesday morning in the crash of a small ultra light plane in a rural area of Baldwin County near the Alabama/Florida line.
A Baldwin County Sheriff's Department spokesman says the aircraft with two men aboard crashed about 9:15 near an airstrip off Shields Road in the Lillian community.
The pilot, 50-year-old Scott Hanft of Lillian, died in the crash.
The plane owner, Charles Bingle, was badly injured in the crash and airlifted to a nearby hospital.
