With the heightened level of terror alert, local law officials are beefing up security.
Dothan Police have added more security at the Dothan Regional Airport and they're conducting random spot checks in vulnerable areas. Security at Farley Nuclear Power Plant has been increased as well.
Dothan Police have daily communication with federal protection agencies.
Captain Jim Smith said people should continue with their everyday activities.
Smith also said Dothan Police coordinate local protection efforts with hospitals so they'll know what to do in case of an emergency.
