Members of local Lodge 1632 from Pemco in Dothan have agreed to a pre strike sanction vote.

The pre strike status is a way to let Pemco know that the union will strike if they do not come to a negotiation on their contracts.

This means that members will return to work Monday. The union contracts end on August 9th.

“As usual, we are always interested in our wages and our benefits. As the cost of everything escalates including gas, the membership would like to see something at least close to it.” says Tony Blevins, Union Buisiness Representative

A meeting is tentatively scheduled for next Sunday for actual contract ratification.

These are some of the hardest working people that any company would be honored to have employed. I wish them the best. Most of their customers return to this facility, not because of management, but because of the hourly waged workforce.
