Wallace Holds G-E-D Graduation

A special event was held in the Wiregrass, honoring local graduates.

Wallace Community College held a graduation ceremony for FED graduates. 27-students completed both the Wallace GED remediation course and passed the GED test.

More than half of the graduates now plan to pursue a college degree. Director of the program, Lynn Ivey believes that education is the key to success in all aspects of life. She says, "it's important for earning potential, important to teach children that education is important, and it is important that we have an educated workfoce."
