One of the Wiregrass' longest-standing businesses hosted a party today celebrating two anniversaries.
The owners of Harley-Davidson and Buell of Dothan held a cook-out at the dealership to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the Wiregrass Harley Owner's group.
The party featured a live band, an observation run and food -- all open to the public at no cost.
The Wiregrass Hog Chapter was chartered in 1986 and is open to all Harley Motorcycle owners.
Wiregrass Hog Chapter member, Joyce Holland says, "We get together and have a lot of fun. But we're kind of just like an extended family. We have probably 180 to 190 members right now in our chapter and ….. we have different things we raise money for to donate and share."
The most recent fundraiser is a "motorcycle give-away." The dealership has donated a brand new bike to be raffled off. Tickets are $100 each and only 500 tickets will be sold. The proceeds are going to the Special Olympics and Dothan Breast Cancer Awareness.
