Enterprise Man Charged with Rape of Minor

Dale County authorities arrested a man on charges of raping a six-year-old.

29-year-old Joe McLendon of Enterprise is charged with rape, sodomy, sexual torture, and sexual abuse.

Investigators arrested McLendon at his South Hill Street home.

The charges stem from allegations of sexual contact between McLendon and a six-year-old girl while he lived on County Road 63 in Midland City.

He is being held in the Dale County Jail on a $210,000 bond.

Like I said!! He was proven innocent because he was innocent!! It's so funny how people always believe everything they hear without trying to figure out the real story! I was there for the entire trial and it only took the jury 20 minutes to decide that he was innocent!! and further more, the judge himself said he was pleased that JUTICE HAD BEEN SERVED!!! This man is a great father and the best big brother anyone could ever ask for! All he was trying to do was raise he children the best that he could by himself. Before you all decide that someone should die or rot in hell. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT BOFORE JUDGING SOMEONE!!

as the old saying goes "innocent until proven guilty" he was arrested by the word of one person. the truth will prevail!! it sickens me how people believe everything they read and have to put thier two cents in when they have no idea what is really going on. he is a wonderful father that loves his children. he would never do anything to hurt them!

I'm gonna love to see what all of you have to say when they prove he's innocent. The only reason he's in jail is because his wife said he did it!! That's it...end of story!! Her word againest his..but yet they arrest him for what one person said! He is one the most wonderful fathers i know...his children adore him. But i guess you all have the right to your opinon. When this is all over with though, i would love for you all to come back and make your comments then!

i think that he should rot under the jail. i've dealt with the affects of the abuse afflicted on me by this man for the past 7 years. i know what this man is capable of and your right he deserves the death penalty. I feel all the sympathy for the child that is involved. this child has lost its innocence and trust in other human beings because of this twisted psycho. may he rot in haites with eternal damnnation.

i know him personally and i could have told anyone that he is a sleezeball. i have a 12 year old chihuahua that he tortured and kicked across the room and has a rib that sticks out where it was broken in the process. any so called man that will harm animals and children does not deserve to be on this earth.

I have a better suggestion for hanging !!! Also have a good one that involves stakes and fire ant beds. He should thank God that I am not the one to make the decision as to the method of punishment. I know I need to repent of what I am feeling - and I will, when I get done throwing up.

He is warp minded and has ruined a little girl's life forever. Add a sign stating why he is hanging there. Maybe it will deter others.
