Cities around the Wiregrass are raising money for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.
Ozark fired up grills Friday for the benefit steak sandwich sale to raise money for the cause.
Police officers were outside the Wal-Mart super center seasoning the meat early Friday morning.
The police department is in charge of the city of Ozark’s fundraising and they already had more than 300 pre-ordered sandwiches.
“This is something we do annually to raise cancer awareness and donate money to the cause of American Cancer Society,” said Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey
Relay for life in Ozark is scheduled for April 28.
