A Middle School Got Helping Hand From Home Depot

Home Depot employees are giving their time and materials to help refurbish a middle school's old concession stand.

Six Home Depot volunteers are installing hundreds of dollars worth of toilets, sinks, plumbing, bathroom fixtures and vinyl siding to the concession stand of headland middle school.

The stand was not in use before, and the school began working on it, but because of financial reasons couldn't finish it.

“The citizens of Dothan and surrounding areas shop at Home Depot and it’s just our way of giving back to our business needs and of course we can help out the kids and community members ourselves,” said Thomas Griffin.

The group began on the project Thursday morning and will come back another day to complete it.
