Six People Arrested in Major Drug Bust in Coffee County

An overnight drug raid in the Wiregrass has heightened concerns that possibly a more potent, deadlier form of crystal-meth may be coming from south of the border.

Six-suspects were arrested, thousands of dollars in cash and a large quantity of the drug nicknamed "ice".

Coffee and Dale County drug investigators raided a mobile home at the Martin Court Trailer Park, located just outside Enterprise city-limits.

Authorities reportedly found the crystal-meth along with the suspects.

The trailer belonging to Humberto Perez-Lopez has been under surveillance for several months.

The high quality narcotic makes authorities believe it's coming in from Mexico.

Coffee Co. Chief Deputy, Ronnie Whitworth said, "This is not the type of drug from your home meth lab. This is a lot more refined, and in a much larger quantity. They had four-ounces and ready for this delivery"

Several Hispanic suspects are behind bars at the Coffee County Jail and face felony drug trafficking and possession charges.

This is not a prejudice thing Shannon, illegal immigrants are getting out of hand. Just do some research on it, the drug trafficking coming out of Mexico is getting to be extremely dangerous. It's not that people are prejudice towards Hispanics, it's the fact that there are so many here who are living in America illegally. Sadly, many of the illegal immigrants are dangerous criminals. Something HAS to be done about this before it gets even more out of control. They take jobs from the community, don't pay taxes, and we pay for their hospital bills. Can you sincerly say this doesn't anger you to some extent? Especially when some of them are brining these dangerous drugs into our backyard? Yes, there are people of every color and race doing horrible things on a daily basis, but at the very least, they are here legally.

It's not just the illegal aliens in this country. Thier are blacks and whites put in jail everyday. Its every race and color that has drug dealers, rapists, murders, and theives. How come no one said anything about the white couple from eufaula yesterday. That whats wrong with this country anyways, to many prejudice people.

I would hope that these would be kept in jail forever, in a cell right on the border. Why? are we so leniet now with just anybody who wants to come into this country? Wake up America, its not just South of the Border, but drugs are being brought in and made in this country everyday. It is destroying our children and our nation! I am not opposed to anyone coming and living here, but we should go back to the old standards of requirements for Citizenship. If we go to another country to visit or live, they do not change anything to accomodate us, so why are we doing it here? I have read where it is said that any "Multicultural County" will destroy itself from within. And are we not witnessing this very thing today? Wake Up America and try to fix it before its to late! GOD BLESS AMERICA

The state and local "leaders" better get their heads out of the sand and start doing something about this illegal alien invasion of the Wiregrass. These Hispanic criminals are everywhere! Political correctness and fear of "insulting" the poultry and construction industry is no excuse for putting the citizens lives at risk. Why can't we have courageous leaders like the mayor of Hazelton PA and Sheriff Joe Aipao of Arizona?
