A Thursday morning accident, involving two trucks sends one man to the hospital.
Ashford police said around 8 a.m., Timothy Granger of Cottonwood was driving a gray pickup truck when he pulled into the path of a two-ton truck, driven by Danny Cook of Midland City on Highway 84.
The two-ton truck overturned and spilled diesel fuel on the highway.
HAZMAT crews were called in and had the area cleaned up by 11 a.m.
“Just like the guy said, he pulled out and seen the truck thought it was in the outside lane in the turning lane, and when he went across he realized it was too late. And had he not realized it, this would have been a real serious accident,” said Eddie Ingram, Deputy Chief.
Cook was taken to the Southeast Alabama Medical Center with minor injuries.
