CrimeStoppers

It's been more than a year now since the body of a missing Dothan woman was found in the Florida Panhandle, but authorities are still trying to solve the case.

Rewards are now being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

The body of 50-year-old Sharon Mills was found by a prison work detail in a ditch off a dirt road near Bonifay in February of last year. She had been reported missing about six weeks earlier. Her husband, Dwight Mills, told investigators he had last seen the woman alive some 25 miles away near Ebro.

The cause of death was never determined, but the Holmes County Sheriff's Department and Dothan Police are still investigating. The victim's daughter is pleading for information to help solve the case.

The state of Florida is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information in the case, and CrimeStoppers will pay up to $1,000.

Investigators said they've already received at least one anonymous tip in the case and they hope the reward money will help them find out more.
