A Routine Traffic Stop Turned Into a High Speed Pursuit

A routine traffic stop turned into a high speed pursuit in Covington County.

It even escalated into gunshots being fired by officers.

Authorities were able to stop the suspect's vehicle in river falls.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Twenty-three-year-old Tremaine Jackson of Navarre, Florida and 31-year-old Eric Wilson were taken into custody.

Authorities reportedly recovered more than $75,000 worth of cocaine inside their vehicle.

They face a host of charges including drug trafficking.

Each man is being held on a bond of more than one-million dollars at the Covington county jail in Andalusia.
