A Daleville woman convicted of murder received a maximum sentence Friday in a Dothan courtroom.
Twenty-seven-year-old Angela Turner was found guilty in January of stabbing 18-year-old Antoinette Jobson to death during an argument on Christmas Eve of 2004.
The incident happened at a mobile home in Wicksburg.
Defense attorney Eric Davis never denied that turner stabbed the victim, but he contended his client was drunk and should have been guilty of no more than manslaughter.
Jurors deliberated about an hour and a half before convicting turner.
Judge Larry Anderson handed down a sentence of life in prison Friday morning.
