A Kinsey man has thrown his hat in the ring in the race for House District 85.
Harold Raley announced his intentions at a news conference Monday morning in headland. Raley has served as Kinsey’s mayor, fire chief and on the city council.
He believes its time for a leadership change in his district, and says one of those changes include bringing in more industry.
"We need new industry in our district, District 85, I want to get out and work and bring it here and to get out and find it in other parts of the state for getting it because we're being left out" Raley says
District 85's seat is currently held by Locy Baker of Abbeville.
The District includes Henry and portions of Houston County.
