Units Activated
Another 700 Alabama National Guard troops received official notice from the Pentagon to pack up.
All are members of five guard units:
- 115th Engineer Detachment in Anniston
- 2025th Transportation Company in Jacksonville
- 1165th Military Police Company in Fairhope and Brewton
- 214th Military Police Company in Alexander City and Tuskegee
- 168th Engineer Company in Eutaw and Marion
Approximately 5,000 Alabama Army and Air National Guard from 43 units have been ordered to active duty.
Thirty percent of the nation's guard units deployed so far come from Alabama.
