A Dothan man got an alarming wake up call Tuesday morning when his bed caught fire.

Around 2 a.m. at 1102 Meadowlane Drive in Dothan, firefighters responded to a house fire.

After arrival, authorities say the fire was contained to the bedroom.
The Dothan Fire Department was able to put out the flames within five minutes.

Fortunately, no one was injured. Firefighters say the home was able to be saved.

"The one bedroom is pretty much damaged. The rest of the house has a lot of smoke inside of it. Other than that, the house was in pretty good shape," says Captain Adrian Thomas, Dothan Fire Department.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
