A murder suspect who took his alleged victim to a hospital has been found guilty of murder.
The juror deliberated for about one hour before convicting 30-year-old Terrence Hollins. He was sentenced to life in prison, but he is eligible for parole.
Prosecutors said Hollins masterminded a robbery that went bad in August of 2000. The victim, 22-year-old James Dozier, was shot in the shoulder at a Henry County nightspot.
Hollins put the wounded man into a vehicle and took him to a Eufaula hospital. Dozier died that same night.
Defense Attorney Tom Brantley said the case will be appealed.
